“Don’t crack under pressure”, TAG Heuer told us in a campaign launched in the early 1990s. It was a message challenging those who dreamt of being bold and fearless, and a strapline underpinned by the values at the core of TAG Heuer’s brand.
The campaign, fronted by the world’s best athletes, resonated with audiences globally. It’s little wonder, therefore, that TAG Heuer and success go hand in hand. Their timepieces are built for the best of the best: the thrill-seekers, the daredevils, and the adventurers amongst us. History has told us that much.
Unveiling two new timepieces at Watches and Wonders 2022, we’re delighted to present the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition and the Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver. So you can adventure on the racetrack or in the depths of the sea. Or, simply, in the boardroom.
This Watches and Wonders 2022, TAG Heuer added another two new outstanding timepieces to the portfolio – why would a watch enthusiast chose to take the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition home?
The TAG Monaco Gulf remains an iconic timepiece and one of the most recognisable, stand out pieces not only within the TAG Heuer range but in the world of horology. The brand has kept true to its inspiration with the use of its classic blue, turquoise and orange colour ways. This year’s edition includes a first for the Gulf - the use of the Heuer 02 movement. It’s most definitely a special addition to the Monaco Gulf collection.
It’s been an interesting couple of years for motorsport, and recent stats show that fans of racing are becoming younger and more diverse. Tapping into this younger mindset, if this is your first TAG Heuer racing watch, why would the Monaco Gulf Special Edition appeal?
If you want to start your watch collection in style, the Gulf is a great way to begin. The piece has new perforations for this year’s strap and new dial markings, you can become part of a rich horological history with the special edition. The combination of the classic colours and notable case shape make this piece hard to miss.
The Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver, an addition to the Aquaracer Professional 300 core collection, is also new from Watches and Wonders 2022. Interestingly, the colour of this timepiece goes beyond aesthetics. Why have TAG Heuer added a matt orange dial to their collection?
Orange is synonymous in the world of diving for safety and security. Interestingly it’s the last colour seen as you go deeper and deeper into the blue. It’s also the universal colour for speed too, so its use in the Aquaracer 300 is a most fitting colour choice. Aesthetically, though, the orange really is a statement!
