Description
Cased in stainless steel and LIMITED EDITION to 2,021 pieces, this 43.5 mm America's Cup tribute in the colours of the competition logo features a blue ceramic bezel ring, with white liquid and red liquid ceramic for the scale and markings.
The white ceramic dial, printed with the words 36th AMERICA'S CUP, includes a date window at 3 o'clock as well as a small America's Cup on the central seconds hands.
On the caseback, a blue 36th America's Cup logo is included on the sapphire crystal glass, featuring the words AUCKLAND 2021.
A blue structured rubber strap with red lining and white stitching fixes the race-ready watch to the wrist, while OMEGA's Master Chronometer Calibre 8900 provides the power.
Calibre Omega 8900: Self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, automatic winding in both directions. Time zone function. Special luxury finish with rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in arabesque.
FEATURES
Anti-Magnetic: The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Automatic Watch: A self-winding watch or automatic watch uses a mechanical movement whose main spring is wound automatically by the natural motion of the wearer's arm.
Chronometer: Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
Date: The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial at the 3 or 6 o’clock position, or within a subdial at 9 o'clock.
Helium Escape Valve: Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)
Limited Edition (2,021): A series of watches whose production run is determined in advance of production and limited to a set number.
Master Chronometer Certified: Guaranteeing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance, as set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
Screw-In Crown: Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers' watches.
Transparent Case Back: A transparent case back - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
Unidirectional Rotating Bezel: A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
