NOMOS Glashütte Limited Edition Tangente 50 Years Doctors Without Borders

Function, form, and a fitting tribute

The Tangente has been a continuous bestseller for NOMOS Glashütte for 25 years. Classic and straightforward, it is almost emblematic of the brand with its harmonious and confident design. Following the design principles of Bauhaus with form following function, it has remained a design classic. This limited edition Tangente is limited to 2,021 pieces for the anniversary of Doctors Without Borders, an emergency aid organisation which has fought against the consequences of forced migration, epidemics, and natural disasters for over 50 years. The red 12 on the dial references the organisation’s colour and as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the organisation, the caption “50 Ans de Médecins Sans Frontières” is inscribed at 6 o’clock. Presented on a dark grey fabric strap and housing a manual winding movement, this timepiece stays true to its Bauhaus principles. 100 Euros from the sale of each limited edition Tangente will go directly towards helping to provide emergency aid.

Zenith Chronomaster Original 38mm

A legend revived

First introduced in 1969, the El Primero is an icon amongst chronographs. As the world’s first high-frequency automatic chronograph movement, it gained legendary status. Now the legend lives on in the latest generation of El Primero, a collection that stays true to the style and substance of the original Zenith A386, now relaunched as the Chronomaster Original. Available in four different models, two with a stainless-steel bracelet and 2 with a leather strap. This model is crafted in a 38mm case with a black matte “reverse panda” dial, and silver-toned chronograph sub dials. Housing the historic El Primero movement, able to measure and display 1/10th of a second, it maintains the utmost accuracy. Presented on a brown calf skin strap and with a 60-hour power reserve and water resistant to 50 metres, this reiteration of the Zenith A386 does not disappoint.
